Students from the Antwerp and Brussels campus visit Audi

Accompanied by our dean Mr. Jan Van Herck and our registrar Mrs. Maggy Van de Wouwer the undergraduate and graduate students from the Antwerp and Brussels campus, visited the Audi factory in Vorst near Brussels. They received a presentation explaining the vast history of the production site. The first time that a car was produced in this site was in 1948 when Volkswagen started its production in Belgium due to its strategic benefit. However in 2010 Volkswagen left the production site and over 5000 jobs were lost, after that Audi stepped in and committed to modernizing the factory and started producing the Audi A1 there. After the presentation, our students received a tour from the factory where they could see the entire production process.
