UIBS achieves ACBSP accreditation

We are proud to announce that the United International Business Schools organization (UIBS) was recently granted initial accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The accreditation was granted for most Undergraduate/Bachelor and Graduate/Master programs as offered at our main campuses in Antwerp, Barcelona, Brussels and Zurich.

The decision to grant accreditation to UIBS came during a meeting from the ACBSP Board of Commissioners, following the submission of a thorough self-evaluation report and an on-site evaluation visit several months before, led by Dr. John Millar from Tiffin University, and joined by Dr. Pavel Strach from Skoda Auto University and Dr. Seifedine Kadry from the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait.

Based on the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence, ACBSP accreditation evaluates aspects of leadership, strategic planning, relationships with stakeholders, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials, and educational support to determine whether the business programs offer a rigorous educational experience and demonstrate continuous quality improvement.

“UIBS has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Accreditation at the ACBSP Conference 2017 in Anaheim, California, USA, on June 26. “This accreditation is evidence that UIBS is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students.”

The evaluation team commended our school for its strong leadership, faculty involvement, regular strategic planning and communication, student segmenting, student attraction and retention processes, systematic set of learning outcomes and our employment practices.

“We are proud of achieving this major milestone. The accreditation not only demonstrates our commitment to offering high quality business education over the past 15 years, but also promises continuous quality improvement from our faculty and staff for the future”, says Mr. Thierry Kirschstein, Managing Director. “Specialized accreditation by ACBSP, combined with the other quality labels we have already achieved over the years, provides for a strong foundation for any future development of our institution.”
