Eager to obtain the position of student council president, our students went all out in their campaigning. From a variety of cupcakes, to brownies and buttons, the candidates made a real effort to convince their peers that they are the best person for the job. Apart from showering their classmates with baked goods, they put up posters around the campuses, made use of various social media and posted video speeches of why they should be voted student council president.
After their hard work campaigning, the results of the student council elections are as follows: at the Antwerp campus Michele Vranken was elected as student council representative for the undergraduate students and Nathalie Dierckx for the graduate students. At the Brussels campus Mohamed Lateri was elected for the undergraduate students and Amandio Costa Paz for the graduate students. At the Barcelona campus, students reelected Helena Carreras for both groups. At the Zurich campus Dominique Alvarillo was reelected by the undergraduate students and Sarah Küpper as the graduates’ representative. And last but not least, the student council representative for the Madrid campus is Tamer Shalaldeh.
