UIBS was recently registered as a certified service provider in the field of education by the “Agentschap Innoveren en Ondernemen” department from the Flemish Ministry of Work, Economics, Innovation and Sports in the “KMO-portefeuille” subsidy program. Our assigned registration number is DV.O104194 and is valid until the end of 2020.
“We were very pleased to receive news that our branch in Belgium was certified for this subsidy program from the Flemish government. Students will no doubt find it easier to obtain financial aid when sponsored through their employer for example. Also employers will now have an extra financial incentive for employees to complete a training program at UIBS”, says Mr. Thierry Kirschstein, Managing Director.
“The process for recognition was started several months ago through our application for Qfor certification, which resulted in a positive audit report, and which then also formed the basis of our application for recognition. The additional audit for the ‘KMO-portefeuille’ subsidy program was based on knowledge of the program itself; proof of business continuity, legal compliance and financial solvency; as well as certain other administrative requirements; all of which were evaluated as sufficient or better. Today, we are very much looking forward to assisting our new students with the submission of their first subsidy requests.”
Through the subsidy program, small and mid-sized enterprises located in Flanders will be able to obtain subsidies for training programs and other consulting activities of up to EUR 10.000 or EUR 15.000 per year. Up-to-date information is available on the websites of the Flemish government.
